LEad Teacher
We are a small community based non-profit preschool on the precipice of an exciting transformation. Our school will be moving to a new site, and our mission will evolve to focus on social and environmental justice. Our new location has direct access to Crocket Hills Regional Park.

We are hiring a Lead Teacher to work:
Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30 or 9:00 - 5:30 PM
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop, plan and implement inquiry based child-driven curriculm
Maintain and implement procedures to ensure the health and safety of the children insuring they are under supervision at all times.
Provide nurturing and respectful care and teaching to the children
Assume an equal share of the joint housekeeping responsibilities of the staff.
Create and work towards mutually agreed upon goals of an annual professional growth plan set with supervisor.
Attend all staff meetings and be accountable for all information disbursed at such meetings and in written format.
Participate in recommended professional development programs and in-service workshops and other opportunities for professional growth.
Establish and maintain positive, professional, and effective communication and supportive ties with children, staff, parents, and third party consultants to meet the individual needs of children and their families which establish a partnership between school and home for the child.
Communicate clearly and appropriately with fellow staff members; work in cooperation and with respect for fellow staff members.
Maintain professional standards and conduct and positive work ethic.
Respect confidentiality of school-related information.
Perform other duties, as requested by supervisor
Teacher Qualifications:
Completion of a minimum of 12 units of ECE, BA degree required; child development or ECE preferred major
Minimum of two years teaching in an early childhood program with responsibility for developing curriculum
Commitment to social and environmental justice
Experience in a nature based education program, or willingness to learn best practice
Pay scale: $20 - $24/hour depending on experience and number of units completed.
All positions require criminal record clearance and FBI/DOJ fingerprint clearance
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 to $24.00 /hour
